A method, system, and apparatus for a phonic learning method implementable on a mobile computing device with a motion sensor are disclosed. A processor generates a phonic object. The phonic object comprises a visual portion and an audible portion. The phonic object is an element of an alphabet, and the audible portion is the phoneme associated with the phonic object. The phonic object and at least one interaction object are displayed. A motion sensor generates a signal representative of the movement of the mobile computing device. The signal is converted into movement of either the phonic object or the interaction object on the screen. When the interaction object and the phonic object interact, an audible signal representative of the audible portion of the phoneme is generated.
