Title: POSITIVE ACTIVE MATERIAL FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY AND METHOD OF PREPARING SAME
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of preparing a positive active material for a lithium secondary battery, wherein the positive active material for a lithium secondary battery is prepared by a method comprising the steps of: (a) preparing an aqueous solution of metal salt including lithium raw material, manganese raw material, nickel raw material, and cobalt raw material; (b) preparing slurry through wet grinding the aqueous solution of metal salt for 2 to 12 hours at 2,000 to 6,000 rpm using beads having a particle diameter of 0.05 mm to 0.30 mm; (c) adding a carbon source in the slurry; (d) preparing mixed powder through spray drying the slurry of step (c); and (e) heating the mixed powder, wherein the positive active material for a lithium secondary battery is expressed by following formula 1.
