Abstract:
Provided is a communication system in which a SCell is efficiently detected in a short period of time when carrier aggregation in a HetNet is carried out. A communication system in which carrier aggregation is carried out between a first carrier (CC#1) and a second carrier (CC#2), wherein a macro base station device (20A) generates a carrier detection signal that causes the second carrier (CC#2) to be detected by a mobile terminal device, in such a way that carrier aggregation is carried out with the first carrier (CC#1), and the macro base station device (20A) transmits the carrier detection signal to a RRH base station device (20B) in such a way that the carrier detection signal is transmitted to the mobile terminal device (10) from the RRH base station device (20B) by means of the second carrier (CC#2) to which this carrier detection signal can be allocated at a higher density than a reference signal of the first carrier (CC#1). The macro base station device (20A) detects a SCell on the basis of the reception quality of the carrier detection signal fed back from the mobile terminal device (10).
