Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for the preparation of coated thin-film composite (TFC) membranes on a microporous substrate and their functionalization with polymerizable compounds and optionally additional bio active compounds to yield membranes having antifouling and or anti-bacterial properties. Further aspects of the invention are a polymer coating composition on thin-film composite (TFC) membranethe,a coated functionalized thin-film composite (TFC) membrane on the microporous substrate itself and the use of such membranes in water purification systems which may be exposed to microbial contamination.
