Abstract:
(EN) Included is an apparatus comprising a first circuit component comprising a plurality of optical devices each having an optical input port and an optical output port. All of the optical input ports and all of the optical output ports are positioned on a first side of the circuit component. Also included is a circuit component comprising a plurality of optical devices. The circuit component further comprises a plurality of electrical inputs coupled to the optical devices and positioned on a first side of the circuit component. The circuit component also comprises a plurality of optical input ports coupled to the optical devices and positioned on a second side of the circuit component that does not share any edges with the first side.
(FR) L'invention comprend un appareil qui inclut un premier composant de circuit comportant une pluralité de dispositifs optiques qui présentent chacun un orifice d'entrée optique et un orifice de sortie optique. Tous les orifices d'entrée optique et tous les orifices de sortie optique se trouvent sur un premier côté du composant de circuit. L'invention comprend également un composant de circuit qui est doté d'une pluralité de dispositifs optiques. Le composant de circuit comporte en outre une pluralité d'entrées électriques couplées aux dispositifs optiques et situées sur un premier côté du composant de circuit. Le composant de circuit présente aussi une pluralité d'orifices d'entrée optique couplés aux dispositifs optiques et placés sur un second côté du composant de circuit qui ne partage aucun bord avec le premier côté.
