Abstract:
(EN) The present invention describes a polymer film that is totally water-soluble, hot or cold, which is produced from agar, a natural hydrocolloid polysaccharide widely used in the food industry. The agar has been modified by a hot reaction in acid medium. The change increased the dissolution capacity of the agar in aqueous medium without affecting the property thereof to form films in the presence of a plasticizing agent, since, in the original form thereof, the agar exhibits low solubility in water at ambient temperature and no other film exhibits rapid dissolution for use as a food-product vehicle system. The film produced will serve as support for the incorporation of natural, artificial and/or functional foodstuffs. It may be used, furthermore, in the pharmaceutical industry as a vehicle for active principles. The advantages of using the present film include, notably, the atoxicity and rapid elimination thereof, without metabolization by the organism, in addition to the simple production technology.
(FR) L'invention concerne un film polymère entièrement hydrosoluble, à chaud ou à froid, produit à partir d'agar, un polysaccharide hydrocolloïdal naturel largement utilisé dans l'industrie alimentaire. L'agar a été modifié par réaction à chaud en milieu acide. Le changement a augmenté la capacité de dissolution de l'agar en milieu aqueux sans altérer sa capacité filmogène en présence d'un agent plastifiant. En effet, sous sa forme initiale, l'agar présente une faible solubilité dans l'eau à température ambiante et aucun autre film ne présente une dissolution rapide en vue d'une utilisation comme système véhicule pour produits alimentaires. Le film ainsi produit sert de support pour l'incorporation d'aliments naturels, artificiels et/ou fonctionnels. Il peut en outre être utilisé dans l'industrie pharmaceutique, comme véhicule pour principes actifs. Parmi les avantages de l'utilisation de ce film, on citera notamment sa non-toxicité et sa rapidité d'élimination sans métabolisation par l'organisme, outre la simplicité de sa technique d'obtention.
(PT) Esta invenção descreve um filme polimérico, totalmente hidrossolúvel, a quente ou a frio, produzido a base de ágar, um polissacarídeo hidrocolóide natural largamente utilizado na indústria alimentícia. O ágar foi modificado por reação a quente em meio ácido. A mudança incrementou a capacidade de dissolução do ágar em meio aquoso sem afetar a sua propriedade de form¾ção de filmes na presença de um agente plastificante pois, em sua forma original, o ágar apresenta baixa solubilidade em água à temperatura ambiente e nenhum outro filme apresenta rápida dissolução para uso como um sistema veiculador de produtos alimentícios. O filme produzido servirá como suporte para a incorporação de alimentos naturais, artificiais e ou funcionais. Pode ser usado ainda na indústria farmacêutica, para veiculação de princípios ativos. Entre as vantagens do uso deste filme, pode-se destacar a sua atoxicidade e rápida eliminação, sem metabolização pelo organismo, além da simples tecnologia de obtenção.
