Abstract:
This vehicle control system is provided with: a damping force control unit (35) (a damping force control means) that controls the damping force of S/A3 (a variable damping force shock absorber); a shock absorber posture control amount calculation unit (336) (a shock absorber posture control amount calculation means) that calculates a shock absorber posture control amount, which sets a pitch rate (a vehicle posture) detected by a wheel speed sensor (5) as a flat posture (a target posture), and outputs the shock absorber posture control amount to the damping force control unit (35); a traveling state estimation unit (32) (a stroke speed detection means) that detects the stroke speed of the variable damping force shock absorber; and an S/A posture control amount distribution unit (336b) (a frequency-sensitive distribution means) which, when the magnitudes of the amplitudes of arbitrarily-defined frequency bands of the stroke speed detected by the traveling state estimation unit (32) are treated as frequency scalar quantities, reduces the degree of shock absorber posture control by the damping force control unit (35) as the frequency scalar quantity of the frequency band on the high-frequency side increases relative to the frequency scalar quantity of the frequency band on the low-frequency side (i.e., as the ratio of the 'floating' regions decreases).
