Title: DEVICE FOR MEASURING UNDULATION OF BRAKE DISK IN BRAKE DISK-EQUIPPED RAILROAD WHEEL
Abstract:
A device for measuring the undulation of a brake disk in a brake disk-equipped railroad wheel configured by disposing a pair of brake disks such that the bake disks face each other with a plate part of the railroad wheel therebetween, and fastening the disks by a bolt is provided with: a wheel cradle which supports a hub of the wheel and rotates about the central axis of the wheel; a first displacement meter which is disposed to face the sliding surface of the disk and measures a height displacement over the circumference of the sliding surface with the rotation of the wheel cradle; a second displacement meter which is disposed to face the rim surface of the wheel on the sliding surface side and measures a height displacement over the circumference of the rim surface with the rotation of the wheel cradle; and a computing unit which acquires measurement data from the first displacement meter to calculate the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the height displacement of the sliding surface, acquires measurement data from the second displacement meter to calculate the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the height displacement of the rim surface, and derives, as the undulation of the disk, the difference between the values of both the differences. Consequently, when the undulation is measured, the restrictions of the experience and concentration of a worker can be reduced, thereby enabling rapid measurement.
