Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for carrying out microfinish machining of at least one end side (26) of rotationally symmetrical workpieces (25) in a continuous flow of the workpieces (25) through a machining station (10), wherein the individual workpieces (25) are acted upon in the machining station (10) on opposite sides of their circumference by two conveying means (11, 12) that are moved in opposite directions to one another, and are set in rotation with respect to one another by the relative speed of the conveying means (11, 12) and are also, during the rotation, moved in the through-flow direction (arrow 13) through the machining station (10) by drivers (28) that are fitted on one of the conveying means and surround the workpieces (25) individually, wherein the end sides (26) of the rotating workpieces (25), as they flow through, slide along against a material web (18) that is brought into abutment with the end sides (26) and serves for microfinish machining.
