Abstract
(EN) A counter-flying object system comprising a sensor array including at least one active sensor configured to detect and track the flying object, and a missile launcher configured to launch an interceptor to intercept the flying object, wherein upon launching of the interceptor, the sensor array is configured to determine the location of the interceptor and send said object and interceptor locations to a control system, the control system being configured to provide mission data to the interceptor based on said object and interceptor locations for guiding the interceptor toward the flying object and activating a fragmentation warhead on or in the vicinity of said flying object when a lethality criteria is met.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système anti-objet volant comprenant un groupement de capteurs possédant au moins un capteur actif configuré pour détecter et poursuive l'objet volant, et un lanceur de missile configuré pour lancer un intercepteur pour intercepter l'objet volant. Lors du lancement de l'intercepteur, le groupement de capteurs est configuré pour déterminer l'emplacement de l'intercepteur et envoyer les emplacements desdits objet et intercepteur à un système de commande, le système de commande étant configuré pour fournir des données de mission à l'intercepteur basées sur les emplacements desdits objet et intercepteur pour guider l'intercepteur en direction de l'objet volant et activer une tête de fragmentation sur ledit objet volant ou à proximité de ce dernier lorsqu'un critère de létalité est rempli.
