Abstract
(EN) A system for monitoring and controlling electricity usage in a building includes a system control unit and an enhanced wiring device in wireless communication with the system control unit. The enhanced wiring device is hard-wired into the building electrical infrastructure, and is selected from the group consisting of an electrical outlet receptacle and an electrical power switch. The enhanced wiring device further includes a sensor for monitoring a stimulus parameter in a room of the building, a processor, at least one memory coupled to the processor, and program instructions stored on the at least one memory for execution by the processor to evaluate and communicate data from the sensor. The enhanced wiring device further includes an antenna for transmitting the sensor data to the system control unit, and a user interface connected to the system control unit adapted to configure and monitor data from the enhanced wiring device.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système de surveillance et de commande d'utilisation d'électricité dans un bâtiment comprenant une unité de commande de système amélioré et un dispositif de câblage amélioré en communication sans fil avec l'unité de commande de système. Le dispositif de câblage amélioré se trouve sur circuit en fil métallique dans l'infrastructure électrique du bâtiment et est sélectionné dans le groupe constitué d'un réceptacle de sortie électrique et un commutateur général électrique. Le dispositif de câblage amélioré comprend en outre un capteur de surveillance d'un paramètre de déclencheur dans une pièce du bâtiment, un processeur, au moins une mémoire couplée au processeur, et des instructions de programme stockées sur la ou les mémoire(s) en vue de leur exécution par le processeur pour évaluer et communiquer des données provenant du capteur. Le dispositif de câblage amélioré comprend en outre une antenne destinée à transmettre les données de capteur à l'unité de commande de système, et une interface utilisateur connectée à l'unité de commande de système conçue pour configurer et surveiller des données provenant du dispositif de câblage améliorée.
