Abstract
(EN) The invention relates to a three-dimensional display system comprising a polarizing layer (20) located at a distance in front of the display surface (10), the polarizing layer comprising first sub regions (21) having a first direction of polarization, and second sub regions (22) having a second direction of polarization different from the first direction of polarization, the first sub regions (21) and second sub regions (22) being disposed in an alternating manner, and the display surface (10) has first display regions (11) adapted for displaying the left side image and second display regions (12) adapted for displaying the right side image, the first and second display regions being arranged to correspond, respectively, to the first sub regions (21) and to the second sub regions (22). The display system further comprises control means adapted to control the display based on the deviation of the current viewing direction from the optimum viewing direction. The invention further relates to a method implementing the functions of the display system.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système d'affichage tridimensionnel comprenant une couche de polarisation (20) située à une certaine distance face à la surface d'affichage (10), la couche de polarisation comprenant de premières sous-régions (21) présentant une première direction de polarisation et de secondes sous-régions (22) ayant une seconde direction de polarisation différente de la première direction de polarisation, les premières sous-régions (21) et les secondes sous-régions (22) étant disposées de manière alternée, et la surface d'affichage (10) présentant de premières régions d'affichage (11) adaptées pour afficher l'image côté gauche et de secondes régions d'affichage (12) adaptées pour afficher l'image côté droit, les premières et les secondes régions d'affichage étant agencées de manière à correspondre respectivement aux premières sous-régions (21) et aux secondes sous-régions (22). Le système d'affichage comprend en outre des moyens de commande conçus pour commander l'affichage en fonction de la déviation de la direction de vision actuelle par rapport à la direction de vision optimale. L'invention concerne également un procédé mettant en œuvre les fonctions du système d'affichage.
