In a wheel position detector for a vehicle (1), a transmitter (2) on each wheel (5a-5d) repeatedly transmits a data frame containing identification information when an angle of the transmitter (2) reaches a transmission angle. A receiver (3) for receiving the frame is mounted on a body (6) of a vehicle (1) and performs wheel position detection based on the frame to specify a target wheel (5a-5d) from which the frame is transmitted. The receiver (3) acquires a tooth position of a gear (12a-12d) rotating with a corresponding wheel (5a-5d) when receiving the frame and sets a variation allowable range based on the tooth position. The receiver (3) specifies the target wheel (5a-5d) by determining whether the tooth position falls within the variation allowable range. The transmitter (2) changes the transmission angle at a predetermined time interval.

L'invention porte sur un détecteur de position de roue pour un véhicule (1), dans lequel un émetteur (2) monté sur chaque roue (5a-5d) émet répétitivement une trame de données contenant des informations d'identification lorsqu'un angle de l'émetteur (2) atteint un angle d'émission. Un récepteur (3) destiné à recevoir la trame est monté sur une carrosserie (6) d'un véhicule (1) et exécute une détection de position de roue basée sur la trame pour spécifier une roue cible (5a-5d) d'où la trame est émise. Le récepteur (3) acquiert une position de dent d'un pignon (12a-12d) qui tourne avec une roue correspondante (5a-5d) lorsqu'il reçoit la trame et établit une plage de variation admissible basée sur la position de dent. Le récepteur (3) spécifie la roue cible (5a-5d) en déterminant si la position de dent rentre dans la plage de variation admissible. L'émetteur (2) change l'angle d'émission à un intervalle de temps prédéterminé.
