In an integrated-circuit image sensor, binary sample values are read out from an array of pixels after successive sampling intervals that collectively span an image exposure interval and include at least two sampling intervals of unequal duration. Each pixel of the array is conditionally reset after each of the successive sampling intervals according to whether the pixel yields a binary sample in a first state or a second state.

L'invention concerne un capteur d'image à circuit intégré dans lequel des valeurs d'échantillon binaire sont lues dans une matrice de pixels après des intervalles d'échantillonnage successifs qui s'étalent collectivement sur un intervalle d'exposition d'image et comprennent au moins deux intervalles d'échantillonnage de durées inégales. Chaque pixel de la matrice est réinitialisé d'une manière conditionnelle après chacun des intervalles d'échantillonnage successifs selon si le pixel donne un échantillon binaire dans un premier état ou un second état.
