Abstract

Systems and techniques are disclosed for determining the onset and offset of a ventricular fibrillation event and for distinguishing ventricular fibrillation from noise. An electrocardiogram (ECG) signal is obtained (122, 136); a Hilbert transform is applied to the ECG signal to obtain an analytical pair, the analytical pair including the ECG signal and the transformed ECG signal; a speed-amplitude is determined from the analytical pair; and an onset (131) or offset (145) of a ventricular fibrillation event is identified based at least one of a value of a cost function of the speed-amplitude over a window and a quantity of occurrences the speed-amplitude crosses a threshold over the window.

La présente invention concerne des systèmes et des techniques permettant de déterminer l'apparition et la disparition d'un événement de fibrillation ventriculaire et de distinguer une fibrillation ventriculaire d'un bruit de fond. Un signal d'électrocardiogramme (ECG) est obtenu (122, 136); une transformation de Hilbert est appliquée au signal ECG en vue de l'obtention d'une paire de fonctions analytiques, ladite paire de fonctions analytiques comprenant le signal ECG et le signal ECG transformé; une valeur vitesse-amplitude est déterminée à partir de ladite paire de fonctions analytiques; et l'apparition (131) ou la disparition (145) d'un événement de fibrillation ventriculaire est identifiée sur la base d'au moins l'une des valeurs choisies parmi une fonction de charge de la valeur vitesse-amplitude dans une fenêtre et le nombre de fois où la valeur vitesse-amplitude dépasse un seuil dans la fenêtre.
