(EN)In a process for producing propylene oxide, cyclohexylbenzene is contacted with an oxygen-containing compound under oxidation conditions with or without a suitable catalyst to produce an oxidation reaction effluent comprising cyclohexylbenzene hydroperoxide. At least a portion of the cyclohexylbenzene hydroperoxide is then reacted with propylene in the presence of an epoxidation catalyst under conditions effective to produce an epoxidation reaction effluent comprising phenylcyclohexanol and propylene oxide.
(FR)Dans un procédé de production d'oxyde de propylène, un cyclohexylbenzène est mis en contact avec un composé contenant de l'oxygène dans des conditions d'oxydation avec ou sans catalyseur convenable pour produire un effluent de réaction d'oxydation comprenant de l'hydroperoxyde de cyclohexylbenzène. Dans le procédé selon l'invention, une partie au moins de l'hydroperoxyde de cyclohexylbenzène est ensuite mise en réaction avec du propylène en présence d'un catalyseur d'époxydation dans des conditions efficaces pour produire un effluent de réaction d'époxydation comprenant du phényl- cyclohexanol et de l'oxyde de propylène.
