(EN)An apparatus and methods for bending sheet glass are disclosed. The present invention improves on the state-of-the-art by providing apparatus and methods that prevent unwanted distortion of the glass sheet. The apparatus and methods utilize localized heating at the bend to allow for overall glass sheet temperatures to be reduced, along with optional mechanical devices for improved bend quality.
(FR)L'invention concerne un appareil et des procédés destinés au pliage de verre en feuille. La présente invention améliore l'état de la technique grâce à un appareil et des procédés qui empêchent une distorsion indésirable de la feuille de verre. L'appareil et les procédés utilisent un chauffage localisé au niveau de la pliure pour permettre de réduire les températures globales des feuilles de verre, ainsi que des dispositifs mécaniques en option pour améliorer la qualité de pliure.
