(EN)Disclosed are a method for packet classification and a device therefor. A method for packet classification according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: partitioning the entire rule set by using key values corresponding to packet fields, and dividing the entire rule set into a plurality of rule subsets; generating recursive flow classification (RFC) tables for each of the plurality of divided rule subsets; loading, in the same cache line, both partition information and RFC table information commonly corresponding to key values of received packets; searching for a rule subset by using the partition information on the key values of the received packets, which are loaded in the cache line; and searching for an RFC table for a rule by using the RFC table information on the key values of the received packets, which are loaded in the cache line, wherein the number of memory accesses is reduced and the searching speed for a rule is improved whereby a packet transmission speed is enhanced.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé de classification de paquet et un dispositif correspondant. Un procédé de classification de paquet selon un mode de réalisation de la présente invention comprend les étapes consistant à : partitionner l'ensemble de règles entier par utilisation de valeurs clés correspondant à des champs de paquet, et diviser l'ensemble de règles entier en une pluralité de sous-ensembles de règles ; générer des tables de classification de flux récursive (RFC) pour chacun de la pluralité de sous-ensembles de règles divisés ; charger, dans la même ligne de cache, à la fois des informations de partition et des informations de table RFC correspondant communément à des valeurs clés de paquets reçus ; rechercher un sous-ensemble de règles par utilisation des informations de partition sur les valeurs clés des paquets reçus, qui sont chargées dans la ligne de cache ; et rechercher une table RFC pour une règle par utilisation des informations de table RFC sur les valeurs clés des paquets reçus, qui sont chargées dans la ligne de cache, le nombre d'accès mémoire étant réduit et la vitesse de recherche d'une règle étant améliorée, ce par quoi une vitesse de transmission de paquet est améliorée.
(KO)패킷 분류 방법 및 그 장치가 개시된다. 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 패킷 분류 방법은 패킷의 필드에 대응하는 키 값을 이용하여 전체 룰 집합에 대한 파티셔닝(partitioning)을 수행하고 상기 전체 룰 집합을 다수의 룰 부분 집합들로 나누는 단계; 상기 나누어진 상기 다수의 룰 부분 집합들 각각에 대한 RFC(Recursive Flow Classification) 테이블을 생성하는 단계; 수신된 패킷의 키 값에 공통적으로 대응하는 파티션 정보와 RFC 테이블 정보를 동일한 캐시라인에 함께 로드하는 단계; 상기 캐시라인에 로드된 상기 수신된 패킷의 키 값에 대한 파티션 정보를 이용하여 룰 부분 집합을 검색하는 단계; 및 상기 캐시라인에 로드된 상기 수신된 패킷의 키 값에 대한 RFC 테이블 정보를 이용하여 룰에 대한 RFC 테이블을 검색하는 단계를 포함함으로써, 메모리 액세스 수를 줄이고, 룰에 대한 검색 속도를 향상시켜 패킷 전송 속도를 향상시킬 수 있다.
