Abstract:
(EN) The present invention proposes a human interface system or interface device for two-dimensional interaction by contact or near contact with a computerized system, typically executing graphic processing software. This system detects contact position on a two dimensions contact surface of an interface device comprising a plurality of faces separated by at least two edges which intersect each other by at least one vertex or corner. This interface system comprises means for discriminating between at least two contact types within the group of: face contact, corner contact, and edge contact. In embodiments used with an IR illumination multi-touch surface, detection may moreover comprise the steps of: - pre-processing the image through several iterations of a "Top Hat" morphological operation of a multipixels structuring element; - binarizing said image using a variable threshold tuned with the speed of movement; and - limiting processing of the next image for interpreting a later contact position to an area close to the last recorded contact position.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système d'interface humaine ou un dispositif d'interface d'interaction bidimensionnelle par contact ou quasi-contact avec un système informatisé, exécutant habituellement un logiciel de traitement graphique. Ce système détecte une position de contact sur une surface de contact bidimensionnelle d'un dispositif d'interface comprenant une pluralité de faces séparées par au moins deux bords qui se coupent l'un l'autre par au moins un sommet ou un coin. Le système d'interface selon l'invention comprend un moyen destiné à effectuer une distinction entre au moins deux types de contacts à l'intérieur du groupe comprenant : un contact de face, un contact de coin et un contact de bord. Dans des modes de réalisation de l'invention utilisés avec une surface tactile multipoint d'illumination IR, une détection peut de plus comprendre les étapes consistant à : prétraiter l'image sur plusieurs itérations d'une opération morphologique de type "haut-de-forme" d'un élément de structuration multipixels; binariser ladite image en utilisant un seuil variable accordé avec la vitesse de déplacement; et limiter le traitement de l'image suivante pour interpréter une position de contact ultérieure à une zone proche de la dernière position de contact enregistrée.
