Abstract
(EN) The invention provides a polypeptide chain capable of forming a polyhedron by self- assembly, nanostructure polyhedra self-assembled from single polypeptide chains and a process for preparing self-assembled polyhedra from polypeptide comprising coiled-coil- forming segments in defined combination that can form dimers that form the edges of the polypeptide polyhedra within a single polypeptide chain. A defined sequence of coiled-coil-forming segments allow self-assembly into a defined polyhedral nanostructure such as a polypeptide tetrahedron.
(FR) La présente invention concerne une chaîne polypeptidique capable de former un polyèdre par auto-assemblage, et des polyèdres nanostructurés auto-assemblés à partir de chaînes polypeptidiques simples. L'invention concerne également un procédé de préparation de polyèdres auto-assemblés à partir d'un polypeptide comprenant des segments formant une superhélice dans une combinaison définie pouvant former des dimères qui forment les côtés des polyèdres polypeptidiques à l'intérieur d'une chaîne polypeptidique simple. Une séquence définie de segments formant une superhélice permet l'auto-assemblage en une nanostructure polyédrique définie, telle qu'un tétraèdre polypeptidique.
