(EN)The present invention relates to control of plant pathogens, particularly fungi or oomycetes, by inhibiting one or more biological functions, particularly by inhibiting saccharopine dehydrogenase gene(s) using RNA interference. The invention provides methods and compositions using RNA interference of plant pathogens target genes for such control. The invention is also directed to methods for making transgenic plants tolerant to said plant pathogens, and to transgenic plants and seeds generated thereof.
(FR)L'invention concerne la lutte contre des phytopathogènes, en particulier des champignons ou oomycètes, par inhibition d'une ou de plusieurs fonctions biologiques, notamment par inhibition du ou des gènes de la saccharopine déshydrogénase par utilisation de l'interférence ARN. L'invention concerne des procédés et des compositions faisant appel à l'interférence ARN de gènes cibles de phytopathogènes pour une telle lutte. L'invention concerne également des procédés permettant de rendre des plantes transgéniques tolérantes à ces phytopathogènes, ainsi qu'aux plantes et semences transgéniques générées à partir de celles-ci.
