Abstract
(EN) Tube and float systems described herein facilitate removal of certain non-target materials in order to further isolation and extraction of a target material. The tube includes a re-sealable plug located in the base of the tube opposite the tube opening. The float is selected with a specific gravity to substantially match the specific gravity of the target material. When the tube, float and suspension are centrifuged for a period of time, the various materials separate into different layers along the axis of the tube according to specific gravity of each material. The plug located in the base of the tube enables non-target material layers located beneath the float to be extracted, which facilitates isolation and extraction of the target material located between the float and inner wall of the tube. The plug also allows other liquids to be injected into the tube from below the float.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des systèmes de tubes à flotteur facilitant l'élimination de certaines substances non recherchées de façon à améliorer l'isolement et l'extraction d'une substance recherchée. Un tel tube comprend un bouchon refermable situé dans la base du tube, à l'opposé de l'ouverture du tube. La masse volumique du flotteur est choisie de façon à correspondre sensiblement à la masse volumique de la substance recherchée. Quand on soumet à centrifugation pendant une certaine période de temps l'ensemble constitué du tube, du flotteur, et de la suspension, les diverses substances se séparent en différentes couches se répartissant le long de l'axe du tube en fonction de la masse volumique de chaque substance. Le bouchon situé dans la base du tube permettra d'extraire les couches de substances non recherchées situées en dessous du flotteur, ce qui facilite l'isolement et l'extraction de la substance recherchée située entre le flotteur et la paroi intérieure du tube. Le bouchon permet également d'injecter d'autres liquides dans le tube, en dessous du flotteur.
