Abstract
(EN) The present disclosure relates to a method of controlling the fuel system (10) by determining the opening of a pressure relief valve (18) and initiating a reseat strategy for the valve. The fuel system comprises a source of high pressure fuel (15) and a pressure relief valve (18) having at least one inlet fluidly coupled to the source of high pressure fuel (15) and at least one outlet. The method comprises the steps of continuously measuring the pressure of the fuel in the fuel source, determining whether the pressure relief valve is in an open position by comparing the measured pressure to a plurality of preset pressure thresholds and generating an open signal if it is determined that the pressure relief valve is in an open position.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des améliorations liées à la commande d'un système d'alimentation en carburant d'un moteur tel qu'un moteur à combustion interne et concerne plus particulièrement un procédé de commande du système d'alimentation en carburant qui comprend la détermination de l'ouverture d'une soupape de sécurité et le déclenchement d'une stratégie de fermeture pour la soupape. Le système d'alimentation en carburant comprend une source de carburant à haute pression et une soupape de sécurité comportant au moins un orifice d'entrée en communication fluidique avec la source de carburant à haute pression et au moins un orifice de sortie. La soupape de sécurité présente une position fermée dans laquelle le carburant ne peut passer de l'au moins un orifice d'entrée à l'au moins un orifice de sortie et au moins une position ouverte dans laquelle le carburant peut passer de l'au moins un orifice d'entrée à l'au moins un orifice de sortie. Le procédé comprend les étapes qui consistent à mesurer en continu la pression du carburant dans la source de carburant, à déterminer si la soupape de sécurité se trouve dans une positon ouverte par comparaison de la pression mesurée à au moins une seuil de pression prédéfini et à générer un signal d'ouverture s'il est déterminé que la soupape de sécurité se trouve dans une positon ouverte.
