(EN)The invention relates to a spare wheel well (10) and to the method of installing it in the rear body part of a motor vehicle comprising shock absorbers (44). Said spare wheel well (10) has two lateral edges (14, 16) and said rear body part comprises structural elements (28, 30, 32, 34, 36). Said spare wheel well (10) is able to be connected to said structural elements which comprise anchor zones (46) so that said shock absorbers (44) can be anchored. According to the invention, at least one of said lateral edges (16) has a lateral orifice (22); and said spare wheel well (10) can be installed in such a way that said lateral orifice (22) is fitted facing one of said anchor zones (46) so that one of said shock absorbers (44) can be anchored from inside said wheel well (10) through said lateral orifice (22).
(FR)L'invention concerne un bac de roue de secours (10) et sa méthode d'installation dans la partie de caisse arrière d'un véhicule automobile comprenant des amortisseurs (44). Ledit bac de roue de secours (10) présente deux bords latéraux (14, 16) et ladite partie de caisse arrière comprend des éléments de structure (28, 30, 32, 34, 36). Ledit bac de roue de secours (10) est apte à être relié auxdits éléments de structure lesquels comprennent des zones d'ancrage (46) pour pouvoir ancrer lesdits amortisseurs (44).
