(DE)Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Zuckeralkoholen durch heterogen-katalysierte Hydrierung einer Zuckerlösung mit molekularem Wasserstoff an einem Ru/SiO2,-Katalysator welcher als Träger einen Formkörper aus pyrogener Kieselsäure nutzt, die einen Gesamtgehalt an Verunreinigungen kleiner 100 ppm aufweist.
(EN)The invention relates to a method for producing sugar alcohols by heterogeneously catalysed hydrogenation of a sugar solution with molecular hydrogen in the presence of an Ru/SiO2 catalyst which utilizes as support a moulding made of pyrogenic silica that has a total impurities content less than 100 ppm.
