Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for synthesizing an ionic liquid from a first precursor in the form of a salt including an anion and a cation, and second precursor in the form of a salt including an anion and a cation, characterized in that it includes an anion metathesis step of causing a metathesis reaction between the cation of the first precursor and the anion of the second precursor at a temperature no less than the melting temperature of the cation of the first precursor, such that the first precursor forms a solvent that dissolves the second precursor. The invention can be used in the synthesis of ionic liquids in various fields, and in particular for solvents used in microelectronics, as well as in the separation of gaseous mixtures, in the electrolytic deposition of metals, or for electrolytes, specifically for lithium-ion batteries.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de synthèse de liquide ionique à partir d'un premier précurseur sous forme de sel comprenant un anion et un cation et d'un deuxième précurseur sous forme de sel comprenant un anion et un cation caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une étape de métathèse d'anion entre le cation du premier précurseur et l'anion du deuxième précurseur à une température égale ou supérieure à la température de fusion du cation du premier précurseur de sorte que le premier précurseur forme un solvant solvatant le deuxième précurseur. L'invention trouvera son application pour la synthèse de liquides ioniques dans divers domaines notamment pour des solvants en micro-électronique, la séparation des mélanges gazeux, pour le dépôt électrolytique de métaux ou encore pour des électrolytes plus particulièrement à accumulateur Lithium-ion.
