Abstract
(EN)
Selective high-frequency spinal chord modulation for inhibiting pain with reduced side affects and associated systems and methods are disclosed. In particular embodiments, high-frequency modulation in the range of from about 1.5 KHz to about 50 KHz may be applied to the patient's spinal cord region from an epidural, cervical location to address at least one of high back pain, mid-back pain, low back pain, and leg pain without creating paresthesia in the patient.

L'invention concerne la modulation sélective à haute fréquence de la moelle épinière pour atténuer la douleur avec des effets secondaires réduits, ainsi que des systèmes et procédés associés. Dans des modes de réalisation particuliers, une modulation à haute fréquence dans la plage allant d'environ 1,5 KHz à environ 50 KHz peut être appliquée à la région de la moelle épinière du patient à partir d'un emplacement cervical épidural pour traiter une douleur en haut du dos, une douleur au milieu du dos, une douleur au bas du dos et / ou une douleur dans les jambes, sans créer de paresthésie chez le patient.
