A transmission device is provided with: an image capturing unit to capture an image of a subject and generate a plurality of frame images which are temporally successive; an analysis unit to analyze the size of the movement of the subject using at least two frame images generated by the image capturing unit; a watching/listening environment reception unit to receive a watching/listening environment from a reception device; and a network band measurement unit to measure a degree of network congestion. The transmission device is further provided with: a control unit which, on the basis of the size of movement of the subject, the watching/listening environment, and the degree of network congestion, controls the data volume of the plurality of frame images generated by the image capturing unit and determines a predetermined parameter for encoding; a coding unit which, on the basis of the predetermined parameter, encodes the plurality of frame images; and a transmission unit which transmits the encoded plurality of frame images.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de transmission qui comporte : une unité de capture d'image pour capturer une image d'un sujet et générer une pluralité d'images de trame qui sont temporellement successives ; une unité d'analyse pour analyser la dimension du déplacement du sujet à l'aide d'au moins deux images de trame générées par l'unité de capture d'image ; une unité de réception d'environnement de visualisation/d'écoute pour recevoir un environnement de visualisation/d'écoute à partir d'un dispositif de réception ; et une unité de mesure de bande de réseau pour mesurer un degré de congestion de réseau. Le dispositif de transmission comporte en outre : une unité de commande qui, sur la base de la dimension du déplacement du sujet, de l'environnement de visualisation/d'écoute et du degré de congestion de réseau, commande le volume de données de la pluralité d'images de trame générées par l'unité de capture d'image et détermine un paramètre prédéterminé de codage ; une unité de codage qui, sur la base du paramètre prédéterminé, code la pluralité d'images de trame ; et une unité de transmission qui transmet la pluralité d'images de trame codées.
