An aircraft communication apparatus comprises a first aircraft mounted antenna, a second mounted antenna, a radio-frequency fronted device adapted to process radio-frequency communications of the first and second aircraft mounted antennae. The first and second aircraft mounted antennae are adapted for air-to-ground data communications wirelessly using same antennae polarization. The apparatus is advantageous because deploying multiple antenna of the same polarization on an aircraft provides enhanced communication resilience since risks of potential data communication blackout are substantially mitigated.

Un appareil de communication destiné à un avion comprend une première antenne montée sur un avion, une seconde antenne montée sur un avion, et un dispositif tête RF conçu pour traiter les communications radiofréquences des première et seconde antennes montées sur un avion. Ces première et seconde antennes montées sur un avion sont conçues pour les communications de données air-sol sans fil utilisant la même polarisation d'antenne. Ledit appareil est avantageux car il dote l'avion de plusieurs antennes ayant la même polarisation, ce qui aboutit à une meilleure résilience de la communication puisque les risques d'une éventuelle interruption de la communication de données sont considérablement réduits.
