A method of determining the origin of non-standardised surface acoustic waves in a substantially homogenous and/or quasi-heterogeneous surface comprising passively detecting the acoustic waves in the surface, Short Time Fourier transforming the acoustic waves into time frequency domain data, and determining the time difference of arrival (TDOA) of the acoustic waves based on the data.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de détermination de l'origine d'ondes acoustiques de surface non standardisées dans une surface sensiblement homogène et/ou quasi hétérogène, consistant à détecter de façon passive les ondes acoustiques dans la surface, à appliquer une transformée de Fourier rapide sur les ondes acoustiques dans des données de domaine de fréquence temporelle, et à déterminer la différence entre les temps d'arrivée (TDOA) des ondes acoustiques sur la base des données.
