Provided are a mist generating device and a mist generating method whereby a reduction in size can be achieved and a liquid to be misted can be efficiently misted. A mist generating device (100) comprises: an ultrasonic vibrator (10); and a porous vibrating body (20) for vibrating by receiving ultrasonic vibration energy from the ultrasonic vibrator (10), the porous vibrating body being provided to a position adjacent to the ultrasonic vibrator (10). A liquid retained within the porous vibrating body (20) is misted by the vibration energy received by the porous vibrating body (20). The material of the porous vibrating body (20) can be composed of a highly rigid metal (or hard ceramic) or the like.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de génération de brouillard et un procédé de génération de brouillard selon lesquels il est possible d'obtenir une réduction de taille et un liquide à pulvériser peut être pulvérisé efficacement. 小型化を図ることができると共にミスト化したい液体を効率的にミスト化することができるミスト発生装置およびミスト発生方法を提供する。 ミスト発生装置(100)は、超音波振動子(10)と、超音波振動子(10)に隣り合う位置に設けられ、かつ、超音波振動子(10)の超音波振動エネルギーを受けて振動する多孔質振動体(20)とを含む。多孔質振動体(20)に保持された液体は、多孔質振動体(20)が受けた振動エネルギーによりミスト化される。多孔質振動体(20)の材質は、剛性の高い金属(や硬質セラミックス)などからなることができる。
