A method for inspecting columnar honeycomb structures comprises: a step for inspecting the side of a honeycomb structure using a camera while irradiating light from a light source on the side of the honeycomb structure from a light source from a first angle; and a step for inspecting the side of the honeycomb structure using the camera while irradiating light from the light source from a second angle, which differs to the first angle, on the side of the honeycomb structure. The ease of measuring defects such as cracks, dents and chips that have occurred in the side of the honeycomb structure varies significantly according to the irradiation angle of the light relative to the side of the honeycomb structure. Honeycomb structures can thus be inspected with greater precision.

L'invention porte sur un procédé d'inspection de structures colonnaires en nid d'abeilles, qui comprend : une étape d'inspection du côté d'une structure en nid d'abeilles à l'aide d'une caméra tout en irradiant une lumière à partir d'une source lumineuse sur le côté de la structure en nid d'abeilles à partir d'une source lumineuse, à un premier angle ; et une étape d'inspection du côté de la structure en nid d'abeilles à l'aide de la caméra tout en irradiant une lumière à partir de la source lumineuse à un second angle, qui diffère du premier angle, sur le côté de la structure en nid d'abeilles. La facilité de mesure de défauts tels que des fissures, des indentations et des écailles qui se sont produits dans le côté de la structure en nid d'abeilles varie de façon significative selon l'angle d'irradiation de la lumière par rapport au côté de la structure en nid d'abeilles. Les structures en nid d'abeilles peuvent ainsi être inspectées avec une plus grande précision.

 柱状のハニカム構造体の検査方法において、ハニカム構造体の側面に対して第1の角度から光源より光を照射しつつハニカム構造体の側面をカメラにより検査する工程と、ハニカム構造体の側面に対して第1の角度とは異なる第2の角度から光源より光を照射しつつハニカム構造体の側面をカメラにより検査する工程とを含む。ハニカム構造体の側面に生じたクラックや凹みや欠け等の欠陥は、ハニカム構造体の側面に対する光の照射角度によって、測定のし易さがそれぞれ大きく異なる。そのため、より高精度でハニカム構造体の検査を行なうことができる。
