The air cleaner (A) is provided with: a portable frame (1) in which an air passage (R) having a suction port (11) and an outlet (42) is formed; a blowing means (44) which is provided inside the frame (1) and is for blowing out room air, which has been introduced into the air passage (R) from the suction port (11), from the outlet (42); a de-odorizing element (62), which is disposed so as to obstruct the air passage (R) and through which the air introduced into the air passage (R) passes; and a control means (47) for controlling the operation of the blowing means (44). The de-odorizing element (62) comprises a catalyst that adsorbs the ammonia component in the air introduced into the air passage (R) and scavenges the ammonia component from the air. The control means (47) controls the blowing means (44) so that the flow rate of the air passing through the de-odorizing element (62) is at or below a prescribed value. The air cleaner is configured so that the de-odorizing element scavenges at least approximately 70% or more of the ammonia component in the room air introduced into the air passage (R).

La présente invention concerne un filtre à air (A) pourvu des éléments suivants : un cadre portatif (1), dans lequel un conduit d'air (R) doté d'un orifice d'aspiration (11) et d'un orifice de sortie (42) est formé ; un moyen de soufflage (44) prévu à l'intérieur du cadre (1) et destiné à évacuer, par l'orifice de sortie (42), l'air ambiant introduit dans le conduit d'air (R) depuis l'orifice d'aspiration (11) ; un élément désodorisant (62), placé de manière à obstruer le conduit d'air (R) et à travers lequel passe l'air introduit dans le conduit d'air (R) ; et un moyen de commande (47) destiné à commander le fonctionnement du moyen de soufflage (44). Ledit élément désodorisant (62) comprend un catalyseur, qui adsorbe le composant ammoniac présent dans l'air introduit dans le conduit d'air (R) et extrait ledit composant ammoniac de l'air. Le moyen de commande (47) commande le moyen de soufflage (44) de manière à ce que le débit de l'air traversant l'élément désodorisant (62) soit égal ou inférieur à une valeur prescrite.
