Abstract

The present disclosure relates to heat transfer methods and apparatus. The method comprises evaporating a first working fluid in an evaporator in the presence of a second working fluid thereby absorbing heat from circulating water within the process, transporting a mixture of first working fluid and second working fluid to a condenser/absorber where a third working fluid is added and whereby the third working fluid dissolves the second working fluid from the first working fluid causing the first working fluid to condense and transmitting heat to a heat sink, transporting the first working fluid back to the evaporator, transporting the mixture of the second and third working fluids to a separator wherein separation of said second and third working fluids from one another takes place, transporting said second working fluid to the evaporator and transporting said third working fluid to the condenser/absorber. The separation of second and third working fluids may be assisted by injecting of a pressurised gas and use of desiccants. Apparatus to accomplish the method are also disclosed.

La présente invention se rapporte à des procédés et à un appareil de transfert de chaleur. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste : à faire évaporer un premier fluide de travail dans un évaporateur en présence d'un deuxième fluide de travail, de sorte à absorber la chaleur produite par la circulation d'eau au cours du traitement ; à acheminer un mélange du premier fluide de travail et du deuxième fluide de travail jusqu'à un ensemble condenseur/absorbeur où un troisième fluide de travail est ajouté, le troisième fluide de travail ayant pour fonction de dissoudre le deuxième fluide de travail présent dans le premier fluide de travail et d'amener ainsi le premier fluide de travail à condenser et à transmettre la chaleur à un dissipateur de chaleur ; à réacheminer le premier fluide de travail jusqu'à l'évaporateur, et à acheminer le mélange des deuxième et troisième fluides de travail jusqu'à un séparateur où la séparation desdits deuxième et troisième fluides de travail l'un par rapport à l'autre est accomplie ; à acheminer ledit deuxième fluide de travail jusqu'à l'évaporateur et à acheminer ledit troisième fluide de travail jusqu'à l'ensemble condenseur/absorbeur. La séparation des deuxième et troisième fluides de travail peut être facilitée par l'injection d'un gaz sous pression et par l'utilisation de déshydratants. La présente invention se rapporte d'autre part à un appareil adapté pour mettre en œuvre le procédé.
