Method for producing monosilane (SiH4) comprising at least one step a) of reaction in a reactor (1) of at least one silicon alloy of formula M1xM2ySiz, in which M1 is a reducing metal, M2 an alkali or alkaline-earth metal, x, y and z vary from 0 to 1, z being other than 0 and the sum x + y being other than 0, with an acid solution, said reaction being electrochemically assisted by cathodic polarization of the alloy in the acid solution by application of a current density or a voltage such that the molar degree of conversion of silicon contained in said alloy to monosilane is greater than at least 80%.

Procédé de production de monosilane (SiH4) comprenant au moins une étape a) de réaction dans un réacteur (1 ) d'au moins un alliage de silicium de formule M1 xM2ySiz, dans laquelle M1 est un métal réducteur, M2 un métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux, x, y et z varient de 0 à 1, z étant différent de 0 et la somme x+y différente de 0, avec une solution acide, ladite réaction étant assistée électrochimiquement par polarisation cathodique de l'alliage dans la solution acide par application d'une densité de courant ou d'une tension telle que le taux de conversion molaire de silicium contenu dans ledit alliage en monosilane est supérieur à au moins 80%.
