A "smart parking" system and method for an urban environment based on a dynamic resource allocation approach. The system assigns and reserves an optimal resource (parking space) for a discrete user based on the user's objective function that combines proximity to destination with parking cost, while also ensuring that the overall parking capacity is efficiently utilized. The solution of each Mixed Integer Linear Program (MILP) is an optimal allocation based on current state information and subject to random events such as new user requests or parking spaces becoming available.

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de stationnement intelligent pour un environnement urbain sur la base d'une approche d'affectation dynamique de ressources. Le système affecte et réserve une ressource optimale (place de stationnement) pour un utilisateur discret sur la base de la fonction d'objectif d'utilisateur combinant la proximité de la destination et les frais de stationnement, tout en garantissant que la capacité globale du parking est utilisée efficacement. La solution de chaque programme linéaire en nombres entiers (MILP) est une affectation optimale sur la base d'informations d'état instantanées et sujette à des événements aléatoires tels que de nouvelles requêtes utilisateur ou des places de stationnement qui se libèrent.
