An image light projecting unit that projects image light on a screen; a distance measurement unit that measures distance to the screen; an obstacle detecting unit that detects an obstacle between the screen and the image light projecting unit on the basis of distance information obtained by the distance measurement unit and, according to a result of this detection, determines an adjustment area where the image light to be projected is to be adjusted; and a projection adjusting unit that adjusts the image light in the adjustment area are included.

L'invention comporte une unité de projection de lumière d'image qui projette une lumière d'image sur un écran ; une unité de mesure de distance qui mesure la distance par rapport à l'écran ; une unité de détection d'obstacle qui détecte un obstacle entre l'écran et l'unité de projection de lumière d'image sur la base d'informations de distance obtenues par l'unité de mesure de distance et, selon un résultat de cette détection, détermine une zone d'ajustement où la lumière d'image à projeter doit être ajustée ; et une unité d'ajustement de projection qui ajuste la lumière d'image dans la zone d'ajustement.
