The present invention provides a liquid crystal display panel and liquid crystal display device with a sufficiently fast response and exceptional transmittance. This liquid crystal display panel is provided with a first substrate, a second substrate and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the two substrates. The first substrate and second substrate have electrodes. The electrodes of the second substrate include a pair of comb electrodes and planar electrodes. The liquid crystal layer includes liquid crystal molecules that, at less than a threshold voltage, are oriented between the pair of comb electrodes when the substrate primary surface is in plan view, and are oriented so as to be inclined in relation to a direction perpendicular to the substrate primary surface.

L'invention fournit un panneau d'affichage à cristaux liquides et un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides présentant une amélioration suffisante en termes de réponse rapide ainsi qu'une excellente transmissivité.
