Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a motion compensation performed under an inter- frame prediction. A fractional sample interpolation is applied on retrieved samples to generate fractional samples. The fractional sample interpolation comprises a plurality of filtering operations, and all of filtered results from the filtering operations are truncated down to a predetermined bit depth independent of the bit depth of the samples stored in the reference picture memory.
(FR) L'invention se rapporte à une compensation de mouvement effectuée au cours d'une prédiction intertrame. Une interpolation d'échantillons fractionnels est appliquée sur des échantillons récupérés afin de générer des échantillons fractionnels. Ladite interpolation d'échantillons fractionnels comprend une pluralité d'opérations de filtrage, et tous les résultats filtrés provenant de ces opérations de filtrage sont tronqués pour obtenir une profondeur de bit prédéfinie indépendante de la profondeur de bit des échantillons conservés dans la mémoire d'images de référence.
