Abstract:
(EN) A multicore amplifying optical fiber comprising: a plurality of core sections to which a rare earth element has been added; an internal cladding section positioned on the outer periphery of the plurality of core sections, having a lower refractive index than the refractive index of the plurality of core sections, and having a first hole formed therein; and an external cladding layer positioned on the outer periphery of the internal cladding section and having a lower refractive index than the refractive index of the internal cladding section. Ideally, the first hole is arranged in an area surrounded by the plurality of core sections, in a cross-section of the multicore amplifying optical fiber. As a result, variation in optical amplification characteristics between each core section is reduced.
(FR) L'invention concerne une fibre optique à amplification multicœur qui comprend : une pluralité de sections de cœur auxquelles un élément de terres rares a été ajouté ; une section de gaine interne qui est positionnée à la périphérie externe de la pluralité de sections de cœur et qui possède un indice de réfraction inférieur à celui de la pluralité de sections de cœur ; et dans laquelle un première trou est formé ; et une couche de gaine externe qui est positionnée sur la périphérie externe de la section de gaine interne et qui possède un indice de réfraction inférieur à celui de la section de gaine interne. De préférence, le premier trou est agencé dans une zone entourée par la pluralité de sections de cœur, dans une section transversale de la fibre optique à amplification multicœur. La présente invention permet ainsi de réduire les variations des caractéristiques d'amplification optique entre chaque section de cœur.
