Abstract

A method of measuring expended energy of a moving body, comprising the steps: i) providing at least one first sensor for measuring position data and/or orientation data and/or dynamic data of a first part of the moving body; ii) providing at least one second sensor for measuring relative position data and/or orientation data and/or dynamic data of a second part of the moving body, wherein the second part is moveable relative to the first part and connected to the first part by a first resistive deformable element; iii) using the at least one first sensor to make a first measurement of the position and/or orientation and/or dynamics of the first part over a period of time and subsequently calculating a global expended energy of the first part relative to a reference frame from the first measurement; iv) using the at least one second sensor to make a second measurement of the position and/or orientation and/or dynamics of the second part over said period of time and subsequently calculating a relative expended energy of the second part relative to the first part from the first and second measurements, wherein the calculation includes the energy required to deform the first resistive deformable element when moving the second part relative to the first part; and v) calculating the total expended energy of the moving body by summing the global expended energy with the relative expended energy; wherein the at least one first sensor comprises a global positioning system (GPS) sensor and/or an inertial measurement unit and/or a first plurality of reference indicia measurable by an image capture device; and the at least one second sensor comprises an inertial measurement unit and/or a second plurality of reference indicia measurable by an image capture device.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de mesure d'énergie dépensée d'un corps en mouvement, lequel procédé consistant à : i) disposer au moins un premier capteur pour mesurer des données de position et/ou des données d'orientation et/ou des données dynamiques d'une première partie du corps en mouvement ; ii) disposer au moins un second capteur pour mesurer des données de position relative et/ou des données d'orientation et/ou des données dynamiques d'une seconde partie du corps en mouvement, la seconde partie étant mobile par rapport à la première partie et étant reliée à la première partie par un premier élément déformable résistif ; iii) utiliser le ou les premiers capteurs pour effectuer une première mesure de la position et/ou de l'orientation et/ou de la dynamique de la première partie sur une période de temps, et calculer ensuite une énergie dépensée globale de la première partie par rapport à un cadre de référence à partir de la première mesure ; iv) utiliser le ou les seconds capteurs pour prendre une seconde mesure de la position et/ou de l'orientation et/ou de la dynamique de la seconde partie sur ladite période de temps, et calculer ensuite une énergie dépensée relative de la seconde partie par rapport à la première partie à partir des première et seconde mesures, le calcul comprenant l'énergie requise pour déformer le premier élément déformable résistif lors du déplacement de la seconde partie par rapport à la première partie ; et v) calculer l'énergie dépensée totale du corps en mouvement en additionnant l'énergie dépensée globale et l'énergie dépensée relative ; le ou les premiers capteurs comprenant un capteur de système de localisation sur le globe (GPS) et/ou une unité de mesure inertielle et/ou une première pluralité d'indices de référence mesurables par un dispositif de capture d'image ; et le ou les seconds capteurs comprenant une unité de mesure inertielle et/ou une seconde pluralité d'indices de référence mesurables par un dispositif de capture d'image.
