Abstract:
(EN) A substrate marking apparatus (10) is suitable for irradiating a substrate (5) that moves relative thereto and it comprises; a radiation source (1); a beam steering unit (2); a monitoring means (3); and a processing means (4), The radiation source (1) is operable to output a beam of radiation (11) and the beam steering unit (2) is operable to receive this radiation (11) and transmit it to an output point (21). The output point (21) is operable to move between at least a start position and a stop position. The monitoring means (3) is operable to monitor the position and speed of the substrate (5) which it is desired to irradiate and to transmit this information to the processing means (4). In turn, the processing means (4) is operable to receive this information from the monitoring (means 3) and transmit instructions to: the radiation source (1) so as to control the emission of radiation therefrom; and the beam steering unit (2) so as to control the movement of the output point (21). The apparatus therefore includes a means to steer the radiation emitted by the radiation source (1) such that any image dot distortions resulting from relative motion of the substrate (5) and the radiation source (1) are minimised or eliminated. Such an arrangement therefore results in an image quality that is independent of the relative speed of the substrate (5)and the radiation source (1).
(FR) Un appareil de marquage (10) de substrat est approprié pour irradier un substrat (5) qui se déplace par rapport à celui-ci et comprend: une source de rayonnement (1); une unité de guidage (2) de faisceau; un moyen de surveillance (3) et un moyen de traitement (4). La source de rayonnement (1) sert à émettre un faisceau de rayonnement (11) et l'unité de guidage (2) de faisceau à recevoir ce rayonnement (11) et à le transmettre vers un point d'émission (21). Le point d'émission (21) est apte à se déplacer entre au moins une position de départ et une position d'arrêt. Le moyen de surveillance (3) est apte à surveiller la position et la vitesse du substrat (5) que l'on désire irradier et transmettre ces informations au moyen de traitement (4). À son tour, le moyen de traitement (4) est apte à recevoir lesdites informations du moyen de surveillance (3) et à transmettre des instructions à la source de rayonnement (1) de façon à contrôler l'émission de rayonnement provenant de celle-ci et l'unité de guidage (2) de faisceau de façon à contrôler le mouvement du point d'émission (21). L’appareil comprend également un moyen pour guider le rayonnement émis par la source de rayonnement (1) de sorte que toutes distorsions de point d'image résultant du mouvement relatif du substrat (5) et de la source de rayonnement soient minimisées ou éliminées. Un tel agencement se traduit donc par une qualité d'image qui est indépendante de la vitesse relative du substrat (5) et de la source de rayonnement (1).
