Abstract
(EN) A hair treatment device is provided comprising alight-based detector (10) for detecting a hair (11) near a skin (12) surface. The light-based detector comprises a light source (13) for emitting optical radiation of at least a first wavelength and with an incident polarization towards the skin surface. A light sensor (14a, 14b) is provided for detecting light reflected at the skin surface. The light sensor (14a, 14b) is capable of separately detecting the reflected light with the incident polarization and with a different polarization and for providing a PP value representing the detected light with the incident polarization and a CP value representing the detected light with the different polarization. A processor (15) is operative to scale the CP value and the PP value to respective dynamic ranges, to determine a Minimum Intensity Projection (MIP) value by selecting the lowest value of the scaled CP value and the scaled PP value and to discriminate between the skin surface (12) and the hair (11) based on the minimum intensity projection.
(FR) Cette invention concerne un dispositif de traitement des poils comprenant un détecteur basé sur la lumière (10) pour détecter un poil (11) à proximité de la surface de la peau (12). Le détecteur basé sur la lumière comprend une source de lumière (13) qui émet un rayonnement optique ayant au moins une première longueur d'onde et de polarisation incidente en direction de la surface de la peau. Un capteur de lumière (14a, 14b) est utilisé pour détecter la lumière réfléchie à la surface de la peau. Le capteur de lumière (14a, 14b) est capable de détecter séparément la lumière réfléchie de polarisation incidente et d'une polarisation différente et de fournir une valeur PP représentant la lumière détectée de polarisation incidente et une valeur CP représentant la lumière détectée de polarisation différente. Un processeur (15) est utilisé pour mettre la valeur CP et la valeur PP à l'échelle sur des plages dynamiques respectives, déterminer une valeur de projection d'intensité minimale (MIP) par sélection de la valeur la plus basse entre la valeur CP mise à l'échelle et la valeur PP mise à l'échelle et différencier la surface de la peau (12) et le poil (11) en fonction de la projection d'intensité minimale.
