Abstract

The performance of a test apparatus for a communications network may be inferred by analysing a set of performance data results measured on a number of different lines in the network. Once a sample of sufficient size for a particular test apparatus has been created then it is possible to infer the performance of the test apparatus based on the ratio of passes to fails recorded.

Les performances d'un appareil utilisé pour tester un réseau de communication peuvent être déduites en analysant un ensemble de résultats de données de performance mesurées sur un certain nombre de lignes différentes au sein du réseau. Une fois qu'un échantillon de taille appropriée pour un appareil de test donné a été créé, il est possible de déduire les performances de l'appareil de test sur la base du taux de réussites et d'échecs enregistré.
