Abstract

A method of wireless communication of a wireless device includes receiving a signal indicating WWAN resources that can be utilized for communicating peer discovery signals. In addition, the method includes communicating an OFDM peer discovery signal in the WWAN resources. A method of wireless communication of a base station includes transmitting a signal to a wireless device indicating WWAN resources dedicated for a silence interval that can be utilized for communicating peer discovery signals. The WWAN resources dedicated for a silence interval include a first subset of resources and a second subset of resources. The method further includes measuring noise in the first subset of resources and refraining from measuring noise in the second subset of resources.

L'invention concerne un procédé de communication sans fil d'un dispositif de communication sans fil, lequel procédé consiste à recevoir un signal indiquant les ressources WWAN qui peuvent être utilisées pour communiquer des signaux de découverte de pairs. Le procédé consiste par ailleurs à communiquer dans les ressources WWAN un signal OFDM de découverte de pairs. L'invention concerne également un procédé de communication sans fil d'une station de base, lequel procédé consiste à transmettre à un dispositif sans fil un signal indiquant les ressources WWAN dédiées à un intervalle de silence qui peuvent être utilisées pour communiquer les signaux de découverte de pairs. Les ressources WWAN dédiées à un intervalle de silence comprennent un premier sous-ensemble de ressources et un second sous-ensemble de ressources. Le procédé consiste par ailleurs à mesurer le bruit dans le premier sous-ensemble de ressources et à ne pas mesurer le bruit dans le second sous-ensemble de ressources.
