Provided is a vehicle torque converter in which, even when a stator is offset toward a pump beyond a one-way clutch supporting the stator, one of a pair of side bearings, which are fitted between an inner peripheral surface of an outer race and an outer peripheral surface of an inner race, that is on the pump side does not need to be modified for centering the one-way clutch. A position (PB) of a sliding surface of a first thrust bearing (44), which is positioned between a stator impeller (20) and a turbine runner and subjected to a thrust load, that slides on the stator impeller (20) is positioned more toward an outer peripheral side than the one-way clutch (18) and more toward an offset side than a sprag end surface (PA-1) of the one-way clutch (18) in the direction of a shaft center (C). Thus, compressive load applied to a side bearing (18f) on the offset side can be decreased.

L'invention concerne un convertisseur de couple de véhicule avec lequel, même quand un stator est décalé vers une pompe au-delà d'une roue libre supportant le stator, l'un d'une paire de paliers latéraux, qui sont installés entre une surface périphérique intérieure d'une bague extérieure et une surface périphérique extérieure d'une bague intérieure, se trouvant du côté pompe n'a pas besoin d'être modifié pour centrer la roue libre. Une position (PB) d'une surface de coulissement d'un premier palier de butée (44), se trouvant entre une hélice de stator (20) et une roue de turbine et subissant une poussée axiale, coulissant sur l'hélice de stator (20) se trouve plus vers un côté périphérique extérieur par rapport à la roue libre (18) et plus vers un côté décalage par rapport à une surface d'extrémité de galets (PA-1) de la roue libre (18) dans la direction d'un centre d'arbres (C). Ainsi, il est possible de diminuer la charge de compression exercée sur un palier latéral (18f) du côté décalage.

 ステータをそれを支持する一方向クラッチよりもポンプ側へオフセットさせても、一方向クラッチの芯出しをするためにそのアウターレースの内周面とインナーレースの外周面との間に嵌め入れられる一対のサイドベアリングのうちポンプ側のサイドベアリングの変更を不要とした車両用トルクコンバータを提供する。 ステータ翼車20とタービン翼車との間に位置してスラスト荷重を受ける第1スラストベアリング44のステータ翼車20との摺動面の位置PBを、一方向クラッチ16よりも外周側且つその一方向クラッチ18の軸心C方向のスプラグ端面PA-1よりもオフセット側に位置している。このため、オフセット側のサイドベアリング18fに対する圧縮荷重が緩和される。
