Abstract
(EN) The present invention relates to methods for improving the ability of spermatozoa to fertilize an egg in vitro and/or vivo, said method comprising providing a medium comprising active vitamin D (calcitriol) or analogs thereof, providing a sample of spermatozoa, and incubating said sample of spermatozoa with said medium. In addition, the invention relates to compositions comprising active vitamin D or analogs thereof for use in the treatment of infertility in a male or female subject.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des procédés d'amélioration de la capacité des spermatozoïdes à féconder un œuf in vitro et/ou in vivo, ledit procédé comprenant l'apport d'un milieu comprenant de la vitamine D active (calcitriol) ou des analogues de celle-ci, l'apport d'un échantillon de spermatozoïdes et l'incubation dudit échantillon de spermatozoïdes avec ledit milieu. De plus, l'invention concerne des compositions comprenant de la vitamine D active ou des analogues de celle-ci pour l'utilisation dans le traitement de l'infertilité chez un sujet mâle ou femelle.
