(EN)The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for saving energy in a communication system supporting multiple interfaces. The apparatus for saving energy in a communication system supporting multiple interfaces based on a network, comprises: a profile database maintaining profile information related to an amount of power consumption by each interface; an energy determination unit determining an amount of energy consumption expected when downloading data according to the size of the data to be downloaded, and determining an amount of overload energy expected when changing a state mode related to the existence of traffic by using the profile information by each interface; and a system control unit selecting at least one interface for downloading data according to the amount of energy consumption and an amount of overload energy.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé servant à économiser l'énergie dans un système de communication qui prend en charge plusieurs interfaces. Ledit appareil destiné à économiser l'énergie dans un système de communication qui prend en charge plusieurs interfaces basées sur un réseau comprend : une base de données de profils conservant des informations de profils liées à la valeur de la consommation d'énergie de chaque interface ; une unité de détermination d'énergie déterminant la valeur de la consommation d'énergie attendue lors du téléchargement de données en fonction du volume des données à télécharger, et déterminant également la quantité d'énergie de surcharge attendue lors d'un changement du mode de fonctionnement lié à l'existence d'un trafic, au moyen des informations de profils correspondant à chaque interface ; et une unité de commande du système sélectionnant au moins une interface qui permet de télécharger des données en fonction de la valeur de la consommation d'énergie et de la quantité d'énergie de surcharge.
(KO)다중 인터페이스를 지원하는 통신 시스템에서 에너지 절감을 위한 장치 및 그 방법이 개시된다. 네트워크 기반의 다중 인터페이스를 지원하는 통신 시스템의 에너지 절감 장치는 인터페이스 별 전력 소모량과 관련된 프로파일 정보를 유지하는 프로파일 데이터베이스; 인터페이스 별로 프로파일 정보를 이용하여 다운로드 할 데이터의 사이즈에 따라 데이터의 다운로드 시 예상되는 에너지 소모량 및 트래픽 유무와 관련된 상태 모드(state mode)의 전환 시 예상되는 오버로드 에너지 양을 판단하는 에너지 판단부; 및 에너지 소모량과 오버로드 에너지 양에 따라 데이터를 다운로드 하기 위한 적어도 하나의 인터페이스를 선택하는 시스템 제어부를 포함한다.
