Abstract

The invention relates to a controllable frequency, broad spectrum light emitting source that includes boron nitride nanotubes with defects produced by the absence of a boron atom in the tubular structure and wherein the source is additionally provided with a means for generating an electrical field perpendicular to the tube. The invention may be used as a field effect transistor (adding electrodes) or as a source of conversion of energy of an incident bundle.

Fuente de emisión de luz de frecuencia controlable y amplio espectro que comprende nanotubos de nitruro de boro con defectos producidos por la vacante de un átomo de boro en la estructura tubular y donde la fuente además está provista de medios para producir un campo eléctrico perpendicular al tubo. La invención puede usarse como transistor de efecto campo (añadiendo electrodos) o como fuente de conversión de energía de un haz incidente.

L'invention concerne une source d'émission de lumière à fréquence pouvant être commandée et à large spectre qui comprend des nanotubes de nitrure de bore avec des défauts produits par l'absence d'un atome de bore dans la structure tubulaire; la source comprenant également des moyens pour produire un champ électrique perpendiculaire au tube. L'invention peut être utilisée en tant que transistor à effet de champ (par ajout d'électrodes) ou en tant que source de conversion d'énergie d'un faisceau incident.
