(EN)Techniques are described for monitoring a performance metric. A multiple modeling approach is used to improve predictive analysis by avoiding the issuance of warnings during spikes which occur as a part of normal system processing. This approach increases the accuracy of predictive analytics on a monitored computing system, does not require creating rules defining periodic processing cycles, reduces the amount of data required to perform predictive modeling, and reduces the amount of CPU required to perform predictive modeling.
(FR)Les techniques selon l'invention permettent de contrôler une mesure de performances. Une approche de modélisations multiples est utilisée pour améliorer une analyse prédictive en évitant l'émission d'alertes durant les pointes qui se produisent lors d'un traitement système normal. Cette approche augmente la précision de l'analytique prédictive d'un système informatique contrôlé, ne nécessite pas la création de règles définissant des cycles de traitement périodiques, réduit la quantité de données requises pour exécuter une modélisation prédictive, et diminue la quantité de traitement requis par l'unité centrale pour exécuter une modélisation prédictive.
